THE AIMS, OBJECTS AND POWERS OF THE ASSOCIATION ARE :

AESDAC is a future-focused organization, run by its members, and for the benefit of its members, through an elected managing committee. We serve as a meeting point for association executives and industry professionals to meet and exchange ideas, on how to better our profession. We help, guide our members and assist them in solving the problems they face today and in future.

AESDAC focuses on driving growth of our members by fuelling smarter industry practices and leading industry change. We pledge to work together to bring set standards in Health & Safety, Work Processes, Ethics and Code of Conduct, Design and Copyrighting and Fair Remuneration. The association will also collaborate with organizers, and other associations and government organizations to ensure alignment throughout the industry

The objectives of AESDAC are as follows:

The companies engaged in “exhibition stand/booth/stall designing and fabrication/construction” hereinafter called “The Business”.

  • To organize and unite companies engaged in The Business
  • To prepare common guidelines of working and secure to the members, fair conditions from Exhibitors, Exhibition Organisers or similar bodies related to the industry
  • To try to redress the grievances and complaints of members related to the Business
  • To associate with organiser and venue operators to understand/discuss the process and to achieve common grounds for smooth functioning of project execution
  • To regulate and standardise as far as possible the terms under which contract shall be taken by the association members, payment terms and other practices related to business and to amend the changes from time to time
  • To endeavour to facilitate members with guidance on methodology of working in commonly accepted norms, and protect the members from unreasonable demands from Exhibitors, Exhibition Organisers or similar bodies
  • To endeavour to provide legal guidance on rights of Intellectual Property such as Designs presented to client without cost
  • To endeavour to provide legal guidance on recovery of payment from clients, deposits made to organisers etc.
  • Generally, to take and adopt any such steps as may be necessary to ameliorate the working conditions of the members and their employees or representatives at venues
  • For achieving the objectives, the Association may setup and organize centres in other parts and territories across India
  • To promote closer co-operation between all associations related to exhibition industries in India and abroad and to foster interchange of information amongst such group for the betterment of members
  • To make and enforce Rules and Bye-Laws for the benefit of the Association or its members and if, and so far as may be requisite or expedient, to apply for statutory powers for the making, passing and enforcement of Rules or Bye-Laws binding upon those engaged in the Business
  • To collect and circulate statistics and other information relating to our industry
  • To promote, assist or oppose by lawful means to events which affects companies engaged in the Business
  • To address controversies between members of the Association, and to act as arbitrators or appoint arbitrators to act in the settlement of disputes arising out of transactions in or relating to the companies engaged in the business
  • To communicate with bodies like Exhibition Organisers, ITPO, CII, FICCI, etc. to promote measures for the protection of the objects of the Association
  • To subscribe to, become a member of, and co-operate with any other Association duly incorporated or not, whose objects are altogether or in part similar to those of this Association, and to procure from and communicate to any such Association, such information as may be likely to fulfil the objects of this Association
  • To enter into contracts, agreements and arrangements with any other organisation or association on behalf of the association to promote protect or further the objects of the Association, or any of the objects for which the association is formed
  • To enter into any arrangement with any Government or authority supreme, Municipal, local or otherwise, that may seem conducive to the Association’s objects or any of them and to obtain from any such Government or authority all rights, concessions and privileges which the Association may think it desirable to obtain, and to carry out, exercise, and comply with any such arrangements, rights, privileges and concessions
  • To print and publish any advertisements, newspapers, periodicals, books, brochures or leaflets that the Association may deem desirable; to purchase, procure or otherwise acquire any newspapers, periodicals, books, brochures, maps or leaflets; and to establish libraries, reading rooms, recreation rooms and residential chambers for the benefit of the Association or its members or it employees or for the public
  • To promote and preserve a high standard of business integrity and principle in all transactions connected with the business
  • To promote and safeguard the interests of the members in the business by all possible means, particularly by:
    • Providing facility for communication, co-ordination of interest or co-operation with similar or allied Associations in India as well as in foreign countries
    • Providing a meeting place with facilities for exchange of views of members and other interested in the Business
    • Arranging and providing for conferences, exhibitions, demonstrations, lectures, seminars and other functions relating to the Business
    • Encouraging friendly, feeling and co-operation among its members on all subjects connected with the common good of the Business
  • To nominate delegates and advisers etc., to represent the interests of the Business at Conferences and/or committees and other public bodies and before duly authorised individuals
  • To appoint, employ or otherwise engage the services of Secretaries, Treasurers, Managers, Technical Consultants and Advisers whose services may seem directly or indirectly conducive to any of the objects of the Association
  • To run and organize courses for technical and formal education in all fields and development of technical knowhow
  • To do all such other lawful things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the objects
